Jeff stopped by Sol Cocina in Newport Beach a couple months back and raved about their awesome tacos and insane guacamole.
The Register’s Lori Basheda (who tells me she will occasionally be contributing to Food Frenzy soon) had a similar experience at the restaurant.

Sol is bomb…. weekends are rough though. It can be a maaaajor scene on the weekends…
Good carne asada. The Lamb taco is nuts too. And the goat cheese thing wrapped in nuts - come on! So good.
I went there because of Jeff’s review and was glad I did.
