Red alert: Salt Creek Grille is the latest high-end O.C. eatery to recognize tough economic times with an almost-too-good-to-be-true bargain.

The Dana Point establishment specializes in sophisticated American fare, and the tabs will normally force parents to delay getting their kid’s braces. Not so, anymore, thanks to a $19.95, three-course prix fixe menu.
