Chef Marcel Vigneron of “Top Chef” is a guest judge at Food Fight

Chef Marcel Vigneron (pictured at left) of television’s “Top Chef” will bring his culinary expertise to the Festival of Arts’ Food Fight on Saturday, July 28.

Food Fight is a competition between local chefs that is similar to the Food Network’s “Iron Chef” series. Chef Matthew Sisson of The Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel and Chef Lewis Butler of the Surf & Sand Resort and Spa in Laguna Beach will battle each other in a challenge where they must prepare dishes on the spot using a mystery ingredient.

Vigneron, who is a master chef at Joel Robuchon at the Mansion inside the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas, will be a guest judge at Food Fight, as will Zov Karamardian of Zov’s restaurants and Mark Jacobi of the Sundried Tomato Cafe in Laguna Beach. Chef Laurent Brazier of Laguna Culinary Arts will host the event.

Information: Food Fight is at noon on Saturday, July 28. Festival of Arts, 650 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach. Admission to the festival is Free-$7 and includes admission to the Food Fight. Call 949-494-1145 or visit www.LagunaFestivalofArts.org for more information.
