I’ve been a little under the weather lately and living off of chicken noodle soup from various O.C. outlets. I can’t taste a darn thing, and I can’t wait for this to pass.
For those of you who aren’t sick and who can taste your food, Zov Karamardian is having an all-out celebration of her 20 years in Orange County on May 6. An Enchanted Evening of 1001 Mediterranean Spices & Flavors will also benefit Serving People in Need (SPIN) and the Susan Samueli Center for INtegrative Medicine at UC Irvine.
I just received a copy of the menu, and it looks phenomenal. Karamardian will have stations set up with dishes like rack of lamb, Mediterranean chicken, smoked salmon and oysters, and for dessert, there’s a whopping 17 different choices, from a chocolate box to the signature S cookie. There’s also at least 10 different wines being offered, and a SKYY vodka martini luge.
The gala is black-tie optional, and will also have a silent auction. Chef Jamie Gwen of KABC-AM will emcee the event.
Karamardian recently opened a Zov’s Bistro location in Newport Beach, and another location in Irvine is set to open in the fall.
Information: May 6, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased by calling 800-980-9687, or on Zov’s Web site. The event is at the Tustin Zov’s Bistro location, 17440 E. 17th St., Tustin.
