As charming as a liquid dinner of 80-proof tequila sounds, a four-course meal should absord the blow to your stomach lining. Z’Tejas is offering a four-course, $40 dinner focused on tequila. The meal includes discussion of flavor and nuance of Sauza’s Tres Generaciones’ tequila delivered by none other than the company’s ‘Tequila Ambassador,’ (what that title means exactly is a mystery, but in my book, it beats ‘Ambassador to Sudan’).
Here’s the menu:
Tuna and salmon ceviche - marinated in tequila and lime juice - with avocado relish.
Marinated portobello mushroom salad tossed with roasted red peppers, goat cheese, red chili croutons and oregano vinaigrette.
Pan-seared, macadamia-crusted mahi mahi drizzled with a smoked tomato coulee and served on a bed of roasted vegetable orzo rice.
Tres Leches cake
Dec. 5, 7 p.m. $40 per person.
